Gravure Press Operators

Our North Walpole manufacturing facility has immediate openings for Gravure Press Operators. Operators are responsible for the set up and operation of multi-color printing presses in accordance with the printing specifications and customer requirements. You’ll join a high-energy work environment that embraces creativity and innovation and values employee contributions and teamwork.

This is a full time position, 34 to 47 hours a week with potential to grow within the company. Len-Tex offers a full range of benefits, including vacation, paid holidays, Health, Dental and Vision coverage along with a 401K. Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Responsible for the full operation of a Gravure Printing Press

  • Ability to manage a press team and provide leadership to the crew
  • Follow and enforce safety procedures for operators and equipment
  • Perform quality checks during print run to ensure all quality standards are met, while minimizing downtime and waste
  • Understanding of printing job requirements and job specifications; assess requirements for raw materials

Position Requirements:

One or more years Gravure Press Operator experience; Flexographic, Offset, Digital or other printing experience will be considered
Must be mechanically inclined

  • Careful attention to detail and a high expectation for quality, productivity and continuous improvement
  • Track record for running jobs with minimal waste

Manufacturing Manager

The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for the general oversight of manufacturing and process flow to meet production, quality, cost and schedule objectives. This person will provide leadership to ensure a consistently high level of performance, safety and accountability in all manufacturing areas.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates daily production schedule and anticipates, identifies, and initiates any necessary changes.
  • Reviews all production documentation for completeness and accuracy. When necessary, documents the need for improvement and initiates retraining to improve documentation quality.
  • Reinforces leadership personnel who have primary responsibility for the quality of the production on their machines.
  • Properly manages waste to keep errors to a minimum and implement strategies to strengthen integrity in quality.
  • Monitors and ensures standard operating procedures are being followed on all plant floors.
  • Monitors quality and quantity of production from printing presses and embossers.
  • Leads continuous improvement in process reliability, product quality and operating efficiency.
  • Assigns and assists staff as required to meet production goals.
  • Monitors and ensures staff compliance with company safety policies and standards. Provides training and direction as needed.
  • Adheres to and consistently applies established company policies and procedures.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong communication, leadership and management skills
  • Broad-based knowledge of manufacturing and supply management
  • Problem solving skills and focus on continuous improvement
  • Ability to foster and encourage a team environment
  • Employee training, performance management and discipline

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Minimum of 8 years experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in ink transfers and lamination is preferred
  • Experience in the management of staff and multiple departments
